Quickie Post

It’s been a very unproductive week.  Been laid up with some virus/flue thing for 3 or 4 days, high fever, coughing, sneezing, whatever.   On the other hand, I have greatly contributed to the economy by using countless boxes of tissue and toilet paper for my unruly nose, several bags of cough drops, honey, lemon and pineapple juice.  So that’s a plus for the economic status of Dayton this week!

No housework is done, no yardwork, barely saw my angels, and definitely no beading.   Now you KNOW I was sick!

Lucky for me, Susan Bahr came to my rescue and gave me a reason to blog today.   That awesome lady nominated me for yet another blog award and it’s just a thrill to get it.   That Susan knows EVERYBODY.   Whenever she gives out an award, I always find interesting blogs to visit.  Thank you Susan!

Okay, here is my Award

So now, you know how this goes……I have to tell you 7 things about me that you don’t already know.

1.  I have such allergies that I can’t be around ANY perfume, hair spray, scented fabric softener……whatever.   What a pain in the buttocks!  Especially when I work with people who are NOSE DEAF!  They can’t smell anything and if they can’t smell it they assume that I can’t smell it.

2.  I’m not lying about the nose deafness.  Once we had a sewer gas leak and you know that sewer gas smells like sulphur.   I smelled it strong at 7 p.m.   I told my partner.  An hour later, eyes burning, I yelled at him WE need to open the doors!   Customers are complaining.   Finally, 3 hours later at 10 p.m.   he gives a little sniff and says, I think I smell something.   It smells terrible!  Well DAH!

3.  I love chili so much I could eat it every day for a week!

4.  I have done this!

5.  My newest addiction is Mozzarella Cheezits!   Yummy!  If you haven’t tried them, getcha some!

6.  I’m watching Freedomland right now.   It’s a favorite movie of mine and always makes me cry.   The mother in this story plays a powerful role!

7.  I have a new television but do not know how to work it.  I DO know how to work the VCR…………LOL.   Me and my movies!

Now, for some other bloggers to nominate for this award!

This Time, This Space    recipes, food, dealing with challenges and great photos.

Rebel Thriver:   a survivor of domestic violence, determined to thrive not just survive

She’s a Maineiac:  her dictionary of momisms made me laugh right out loud!

Daffodils and Dishwater:  Jenns’s blog has a little bit of everything.

Well, that’s it for today.   Going to make a bowl of soup and take some more tylenol and crawl right back on the couch.
